Introduction
This website marks the beginning of an exciting career shift for me. In November 2013 I completed a double major of Accounting and Human Resources through Western Governors University. I will sit for both the CPA and PHR exams in 2014 and I am seeking a permanent position in an exceptional small or midsize organization in Portland, preferably specializing in non-profit audits. I am really thrilled to reach to the point where years of preparation finally qualify me to work in the field of public accounting.
The subtitle for my website, Reconciling Differences, summarizes what I enjoy most. That moment when a reconciliation balances to the penny never gets old. I enjoy finding ways to make accounting and economics easier to understand for laypeople. My research and writing on organizational behavior seek new perspectives on managing differences in the workplace. This website is currently dedicated to information that will allow recruiters, future co-workers, and colleagues to make a more informed decision about our suitability for each other. Once a wonderful organization and I have committed to each other, this site will contain information on current research projects.
Formal disclaimer: I am not yet a CPA but I am in process of completing those qualifications. I chose to reserve this URL in advance.
